Rookie of the Year
Remember the string of Rookie of the Year awards that the Dodgers pulled in from '92 - '96: Karros, Piazza, Mondesi, Nomo, Hollandsworth?
It is EXTREME wishful thinking, but: 2007: Hamilton 2008: Bailey / Votto 2009: Bruce 2010: ??? 2011: ??? Anyone think the Reds can get close? |

Re: Rookie of the Year
We should probably let Hamilton have more than a good first three weeks before we start talking about a Dodger-like streak.

Re: Rookie of the Year
I concur. But the fact that we can even begin to think about a thread like this is proof that we're at least moving in the right direction in terms of acquring young talent. I'm more than happy that DanO is gone and WK is here, but DanO can at least say that he didn't leave WK with an empty farm system.

Re: Rookie of the Year
Boy I'd like to think Cueto would be up before '10 if he continues like he did last year.

Re: Rookie of the Year
Wait, Cueto is in AA now?
If so, then '10 would be way too late, My bad. |

Re: Rookie of the Year
Okay then so it would be around 2009 when he makes it to the bigs barring any major injury or setback

Re: Rookie of the Year
I'd be shocked if Bailey's eligible for ROY in 2008.

Shocked is one word you could use.

Re: Rookie of the Year
I would settle for Hamilton, Bailey and Votto finishing in that order for 2007 ROY.
