Re: Ramon Geronimo
Someone a while back said he throws in the low 90's with a plus changeup. If that's the case then he is absolutely a legit prospect. His numbers are incredible. He's got an amazing 0.72 ERA in 49.2 innings between Sarasota and Chattanooga and has allowed only 23 hits with a 15 BB/61 K ratio. He may get a shot at making the Reds 25-man roster out of spring training at the rate he's going.

most righties with average fastballs and one other pitch don't last long in the majors Doug Jones had a poor fastball and a plus plus changeup; Trevor Hoffman had a better fastball and a great changeup. but Geronimo is much less hittable than Todd Coffey so far. That's certainly in his favor Last edited by princeton; 08-03-2008 at 01:33 PM. |

Re: Ramon Geronimo
Someone on here who has watched him pitch says he throws in the low 90's.

Re: Ramon Geronimo
This guy deserves a shot.
Old or not, bad velocity or not, his peripherals suggest he's worth taking a look at. |
