Pedro Viola
His performance is worthy of taking a good look.
He gave up a HR in one inning of work in his first appearance this year. Since then, (10 more appearances) he has not given up any runs and sports an overall 0.66 ERA. His control was not remarkable early but he was effective. Lately he has been more in control and his numbers are stellar. Today, he was throwing his curve for strikes consistently. Last 10 games: 12.2 IP - 4 H - 0 R - 7 BB - 15 K - WHIP 0.87 - OPP BA .105 The Bats' bullpen with Viola, Roenicke, Fisher and Manuel is about as high quality as any AAA team could hope for. |
