What is the Significance of Your Username?
Some are obvious, like mine for example. I couldn't think of anything else at the time. It's worked for me well enough, I suppose.
There are many others, on the other hand, that have perplexed me for quite some time.

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
I think mine is pretty obvious to any true Reds fan...Davey C was my favorite player growing up. PS, I want to be a member of the Willie FREAKING Bloomqist Fan Club. He is my favorite September addition to the franchise.

My name is Eric and I like the Reds. Growing up, Eric Davis was my favorite player as well.

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
My dad used to go to a lot of Reds games at Crosley when he was in high school. He has great memories of sitting out in the Sundeck in an era when players would hang out near the stands and talk to kids. My username is in honor of him.

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
Mine is that I take a "macro" view of the franchise. The best I can explain it is, I don't get too involved with who's going to be called up, who's going to be optioned out, who's going to get arbitration, anything too detailed statistically, etc. I prefer to consider the history of the franchise and where the current season and its milestones and events will fit into that history.
If it's not something people will remember and be talking about ten years from now, I'm not too interested.

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
Lived in Vancouver Washington when I registered...was orginally "VancouveRed"
Shorted it up to "VR" during one of the upgrades. I'm sure some of the older posters have different words inserted for "VR" for me, but that's the real story.

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
Closer to being in a 'Van down by the River' than 'Very Rich'

Re: What is the Significance of Your Username?
I went to Ohio State and am a Buckeye's fan. Shortened it to bucksfan and added the 2 because it was the number of my favorite Buckeye Mike Doss. Also it didn't hurt that Malcolm Jenkins adopted the number as well.

I always figured the significance of the "2" was because someone already had "bucksfan" as a username. Learnin' things left and right here.
