"Baseball's Great Experiment, Jackie Robinson & His Legacy"

Has anyone read this book? Just curious what people think about it.

Im reading it for a sports management class at Marshall...

Yes, it's by Tygial and he's an exceptional historian, and delves deeper into the society aspect of that story than others do. He also wrote “Past Time: Baseball as History” which is a very good book as well.

thanks. Im just on page 34 right now. Starting to get into it a little more....

I read it earlier this year, I think. Very good read. I believe Tygial passed away recently.
