Now, if only the Reds would follow suit and get rid of the black.

Re: Mets unveil new uniforms for 2012

So far we have had uni unveils by the Marlins, Padres, O's and Mets. The Marlins had to do something with the name change and the other 3 teams stink. If you can't get them excited by the players make it look like you are doing something with the laundry.

It's not about people getting excited; it's about people spending money.

Sorry you are right. What I should have said is "If you can't get fans excited enough by the players to buy them ticks, give them new laundry to buy."

It just seems like so many of these "new uniforms" don't have any noticeable changes, except for the Marlins (obvious), and Orioles.

I didn't notice anything spectacular about the Padres and Mets.

Re: Mets unveil new uniforms for 2012

more throwbacks! Love the classic look of the old Mets uni.

Now, throw some stirrups, or at least long blue socks on those, and you have a winner.

I wonder who is going to win the 2012 MLB Fashion Awards??

So far, I like the Mets...

Everything old is new again. The Mets should have brought back Howard Johnson and Gary Carter to model those.

The way their uniforms should have always looked.
