For those interested, it appears both games start at 3:05 PM EST. I am going to try to do a little PBP.

Gameday isn't working for me at work so I can only follow the box score. Chapman has given up no hits or walks through his first two innings of work with two Ks.

Ludwick doubled, Cairo singled and Cozart singled for the Reds' three hits thus far.

Chapman replaced by Lecure after two good innings pitched.

Without knowing too much about the Giants, it appears that Chapman did face something close to what will resemble their Opening Day lineup.

Re: 3/9 - SS v. KC and SF - Bailey & Chapman starting today
Danny Duffy tore through the other split squad Reds in his two innings of work striking out five straight batters (Harris, Votto, Bruce, Rolen, Lutz) and then Mazzarro got the next three Reds in order.
Bailey pitched well in his three innings of work only giving up one hit, a single to Alex Gordon. Bailey also walked Lorenzo Cain and did not strike out any batters. Josh Judy has taken over for Bailey. |

LeCure walked the 9 hitter Brandon Crawford and then gave up a two run bomb to Melky Cabrera. That's not getting it done.

Judy gets the top two of the lineup out (Dyson and Giavotella) then walks Eric Hosmer.

Sammy gets Freddy Sanchez (hitless this spring) to end the inning. Francisco leads off the Reds' fourth off with an out.

Scotty follows that up with an RBI single and Donald Lutz shows he belongs in that lineup by clearing the bases with a 3-run bomb!

LeCure gives up a RBI double to 1b Pill and a RBI single to Schierholtz.
Reds down 4-0. LeCure not doing well today. |
