Using your minor league affiliates...

Everyone knows MLB is somewhat regional when it comes to fan bases, and TV coverage. Should MLB Teams invest more money into marketing their minor league stars in the areas where their Minor league affiliates are located. Using it as a way to expand their fan base to areas that currently don't follow the reds now but will someday become Reds fans because of following the prospects when they're young. What you think?

Re: Using your minor league affiliates...

Minor League Baseball would love for it to happen but MLB teams dont connect the dots. When the baseball came to Mobile, the Padres would come play two exhibition games every two or four years. The Baybears did a great job of appeasing the Padres demands with the Hank and when they stopped the Padres stopped coming. The one thing I will demand if the Reds sign a 4 year PDC extension is at least one Spring Training Exhibition game over the period of the contract. If the Reds will not commit to that, then find a team that will.... A Minor League stadium is considered old after 6 years and you have to milk it while you can......

also thought to mention that the local ESPN radio station in Pensacola now broadcasts the Reds games if it doesnt conflict with a Braves game.
