Olympic basketball gold medal game

How in the WORLD does Spain leave Marc Gasol in and allow him to pick up his fourth foul midway through the 2nd quarter? Their coach may have just cost them the gold medal, because this game has been competitive.

Re: Olympic basketball gold medal game

Refs are horrible. They've called more than 30 fouls in the first half. What a mess. There's no flow to this game at all.

59-58 US at half.

Congrats to the US team, who held off a very tough Spain squad, 107-100. Pau Gasol played an amazing game. Nice moment with Gasol and Bryant.

They had "Born in the USA" on repeat. The irony of the depressing lyrics is lost on someone there.

Meh, it has an epic chorus, that's enough for us Americans.

I think they were getting carried away with the Chariots of Fire theme.
