Saturday 8-18-12 Minor-League Updates

A fair amount of good stuff in Louisville's 3-2 victory:

Neftali Soto, who was already hot, went 3-4.
Denis Phipps, who hasn't been hot, was also 3-4. He had a HR and 2 doubles.
Felix Perez had a couple knocks to raise his average to .298.
Pedro Villarreal had an excellent start: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 8 K.
Nick Masset pitched an inning of shutout relief, and Jordan Smith threw the last two.

Slidin' Billy singled and stole in the first. He's two away from Coleman.

Pensacola didn't score. Corcino is pitching.

Re: Saturday 8-18-12 Minor-League Updates

Dan Langfield is off to a mighty fine start tonight for Billings: 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K.

Brandon Dailey's double is the only hit of the game.

Edit: That was all for Langfield. Jordan Remer takes over.

Re: Saturday 8-18-12 Minor-League Updates

A 2-run triple by Carlos Sanchez in the bottom of the eighth has given Billings a 3-1 lead. It's quite weird that Sanchez is considered exceptionally slow, yet this was his 10th triple on the season.

Long injury delay in the Wahoos game. Not sure what's happening.

Brodie Greene and Andrew Means collided going for a ball. They were both down for a long time, not moving. Means eventually got up and sat in the dugout. Brodie was down for a long time and eventually got taken off the field in an ambulance, very scary.
