Melvin Nieves was once a big time prospect with Atlanta. He was dealt to the Padres for Fred Mcgriff. Trade went down as one of the most lopsided in recent history.
Melvin Nieves, Vince Moore, and Donnie Elliott for Fred McGriff (1993) He played for the Reds in 1998 He was acquired by Bowden for Donnie Wall and Paul Bako. Had a little boy who died of a heart condition while playing for the Reds Minor League Affiliate. |
