If that is true, then he should be released. He has been extremely effective in AAA. He should be given a shot and see what happens. If they are that sure that he cannot contribute at the big league level, then what's the point of having him on the AAA roster?

Amazing era and already 110 innings hes 35 yrs old why he in the minors? Bring him up!!!!!!!!!

Think Brandon Larson. Great AAAA player but not ML quality.

You still have to fill out a roster in the minor leagues.

About Michalak:
110 IP in AAA and 119 hits surrenderd.. Don't like that line, and when you add in 22 walks and only 47 K's I like it even less.

ERA might be low but there's still been a total of 44 runs scored when he was on the mound. I know only 32 earned... but still... Don't really like that setup.

Shearn's H/IP numbers look better, and has more K's in fewer IP, but at the same time more BB's... still that control will get him toasted in the ML.

I wouldn't mind giving a shot to Shearn, Dumatrait or Kelley, but I think I'll pass on Michalak
