votto has been down at first base every inning so far.
 coaching. you gotta love minor league baseball. you get a day off from playing. you get to coach first base. btw, valdez with another nice outing - 7 shut out innings. and while perusing the chattanooga web site i noticed that carlos alvarado was moved up to louisville. there's a september call-up if i ever saw one.

I bet that Alvardo is back with Chattanooga almost immediately. I think he was a roster filler for Germano. My theory - only chance he has of seeing Reds this September is buying a ticket.
