noticed this pitcher Jon Coutlangus on the 40 man roster. who is he?
he has no record but a picture of him in a Reds uniform.. why is he on the 40 man roster????

Claimed off waiver from San Fransico, he's a centerfielder turned pitcher, that needed to be put on the 40 man in order to be claimed.

Joseph, not that I have heard of. In an article about a week after he pitched, it talked about how he was not really open to the idea, but that it had been proposed to him.
