Ode to 2006
This came to me while driving home today. I don't really know why. I thought I would post it in fun and to show what a terrible nerd I am. It kind of describes the season. Enjoy (or not, I don't care really).
They say we're the great pretenders pretending that nothing is wrong but our "D" has no range and our line-ups are strange and our pitchers are left in too long our pitchers are left in too long. They say we're the great pretenders prentending that we're in the race but our line-up is old our best hitters are cold and our bullpen is just a disgrace our bullpen is just a disgrace. (All-star break musical interlude here) They say we're the great pretenders pretending for the wild card our acquisitions are sore and now we can't score we need some more guys who go yard we need some more guys who go yard They say we're the great pretenders just trying to hang on till the end though we rooted our best they blew it out west I guess we're rebuilding again I guess we're rebuilding again. |
