Since my username was something of a tribute to Nuxhall, I just pulled the only picture of Joe that was available at the time and I've been too darn lazy to bother changing it.

They are bestowed upon you when other posters believe you've contributed something of value to the board.

On other occasions, people bestow them upon me.

Re: What inspired your avatar?

People who have 200 or more points can bestow them on others. When you accumulate 200, you can then do the same.

I am a proud graduate of the when-all-else-fails-read-the-instructions school of methodology...all courses were taught by my father.

Oh, and while I'm here...my inspiration is very simple: my all-time favorite baseball player. Second place is distant. I'm extremely biased but I have no idea why Davey shouldn't be in Cooperstown already. If/when he ever makes it, it will be a holy pilgrimage for me to upstate New York.

Usually vaticanplum takes cases of OldStyle. Chip R really likes the green stuff, preferably large amounts of smaller denominations in non-sequencial order.

Me? I just wander in and out.
