NLCS game 4 thread

Could be a high scoring game tonight with Oliver Perez vs. Anthony Reyes as the pitching matchup.

The Mets offense is really putrid right now.

What's funny is that the Mets always, no matter what, seem like a team with an arrogance or swagger. They look like a bunch of confused kittens out there tonight. Don't imagine Willie Randolph should feel very comfortable right now.

The Mets pitching is making the worst hitter in baseball actually look good.

Beltran homers to tie the game. That was the first run the Mets have scored in 14 innings.

Anthony Reyes seems to do very little with a decent arsenal. Tomko?

Re: NLCS game 4 thread

Umps squeezed Perez allowing Speizio to walk, and eventually score. Pujols pops out before Rolen ties the game. Shawn Green makes Dunn look like a gold glover in the outfield, btw.

And now they look like Thunder Cats ... hooooooo.

As for Reyes, he's young (turns 25 tomorrow) and it's going to take a while for him to figure out how to keep the ball in the park. You can't expect them all to click like Wainwright has. Me, I like Reyes' socks.

Valentin can't get the tag down on the sure strike out throw out double play.

That's going to cost the Mets.

Valentin saved his own bacon on the next play.

Thompson's got some fierce movement on his pitches.

And fatty-pockets boots it.

Looked like his weight/momentum carried him past the play after getting the tag down. It kept it from holding it down there long enough. Tough luck or just bad form?
