Anyway, I'm deeply flattered.

Anyone can pay the $22 or look up stats on the Cube.

You can write with style, and I respect your analysis of the stuff you look up and observe.

So there.

This is actually my least favorite: People crying over signing guys to minor league deals or players that we know won't factor and paying them the minimum and won't make the roster. The over reaction knee jerk response of any signing is very much over the top here.

Funniest

Redsland (I think he does the recap of news every once in a while with a twist).

Cyclone

Most Long-winded

Most Negative

FCB

Most Off-Topic

Redsupport

Best Outsider

The Marlins guy...but he is really the only outsider I have seen I think.

Best Historian

WOY goes back to far for me....Redsupport brings up a lot of people that no one (or few) have heard of. I leave this award blank.

Most Tired Topic of the Year
Adam Dunn = Dave Kingman
Dunn K's too much
Krivsky is awful

Cyclone was en fuego this year and RedsManRick's posts are always logically driven and well thought out...

missin' my boy Steel.

Most tired topic: 'The leave Krivsky to his devices people'

Best newcomer: Don't think he's technically a newcomer, but Redsupport is a very interesting poster

Re: Fifth Annual Redszone Postees Awards

For those who voted me most clever, I appreciate it, and as always, the check is in the mail.

Most missed poster
I miss creek. I wasn’t here in the ORG or Stormy days. I miss Raisor too. But in a totally platonic way.

Best tag line
I stole KittyDuran’s. I wasn’t the only one.

Best Moniker
FCB – the man’s true to his sponsor. It’s the only way I can explain his posts.

Most Valuable Poster
M2 and traderumor

Most Clever
Redsland and BCubb during the season is reason enough

Best Armchair GM
I’d vote M2 here along with woy. Austin Kearns can toss in some good ones as well, even if I don’t agree with him. RFS62 has some real good ideas.

Best Trademeister
Krusty for sheer volume. Trader Frank Lane would be proud.

Best Discussion
This is should be renamed the ‘About 10 of You Best Discussion Award’

Uniform Change was very good topic. It was civil, interesting, informative, and opinionated without any mud slinging. Strange, huh?

Worst Typist
WVPacman.

Funniest
On a good day redsupport just absolutely floors you with unknown Reds. .

Best Use of Statistics
Cyclone for up to date – and woy for the history lessons we need to know.

Most Long-winded
My Brownie-fan buddy GAC. Most of it is stuff we wish never happened to him with the house and falling out of tree and stuff like that. But, hopefully we helped with the Therapy of RedsZone.

Most Positive
LilAbner, Vaticanplum, & the Queens of Positive goodness TeamBoone and Kitty Duran

Most Negative
FCB – but that’s just who he is. Nothing against the man, I never met him, so I base it on stuff I read.

Best Use of an Emoticon
Krono Hurry up, we miss you. Your posts are less than 40 a day.

Nicest
KittyDuran and the Annual RedsZone dash for Team Pictures. Bless you Kitty.

Best Moderator
I wish Boss would post more on baseball topics than system stuff. But if it wasn’t for GIK and Boss, we’d be swimming in the cesspool of cincy.com or mlb.com message boards. Dudes, tip of the cap to you ya’ll.

Best Chatter
GAC – when I was there. Dude multi-tasks a lot with beer drinking, game updates and random conversations. Kudos to Kitty and TB as well through the year for the “shows”

Most Off-Topic
I searched and searched OT stuff. The best ones to me were gas prices and the Dom Heffner “Down Memory Lane” – What was from Cincinnati but were no more. GREAT STUFF – good thought Dom.

Best Newcomer
LilAbner, redsmetz and last season’s late call-up vaticanplum. And I’m married.

Best Outsider
Astrobuddy….just kidding. Sorry – MattyMo4Life and Ramp101.

The Marty Brennamen Award
Tornon – Dude carried us through the Western Swing of Crapola. Double Stars for you.

The Old Red Guard Award
Johnny Footstools’ Comment of Claussen’s Wang-Chung fastball where it tops out at 86. I’m STILL chortling over that one.

Best Historian
This award should be retired and given to woy on a permanent basis.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Triumverate of Redread, RFS62 and M2. Honorable Mention to RANDY_IN_CHAR_NC & traderumor.

Most Tired Topic of the Year
Any thread involving “The Trade”, Adam Dunn trade proposals, and winter blahs.

I just wanted to say that this is a tremendous place, a great resource for Reds fans, and fans of baseball in general. Thank you so much for those who run this board, and I would urge anyone who uses this board regularly to go and donate, so this resource remains as it is.

I thought I was a hard core baseball fan, until I "met" others on here, people who really do know the game in far more depth than me. Sometimes I come here and just read and learn, and on other days I participate more often, but I usually come here nearly every single day.

My eyes have been truly opened to what statistical analysis can tell you (which is much more than I ever dreamed it could) and what it cannot do- predict the future accurately.

I absolutely love the diversity of opinion here. If we all agreed on how to improve the Redlegs, then this would be a boring place! Sometimes I shake my head, often I laugh at the great humor, but I am never bored, and I always learn.

This place is a treasure, I'm glad I found it, and look forward to participating for years to come!
I too still consider myself a new comer and not versed enough to make these breakdowns. It is a great place and everyone makes it that.
