has the bounce that goes on constantly at basketball games got on anyone else's nerves ?
I am speaking of the fans going up and down like pogo sticks.
People talk of how the wave wore itself out....well this has to with me.
Yes, Duke really got it going and I cant stand Duke but now it is everywhere and personally I wish fans would come up with something different.

Here is a fun thing to do.
Pick out one fan who is bouncing and keep an eye on him/her.
Just focusing on one person really makes it look sillier.
Maybe i am alone on this but i rank this with the "wave" or mighty close to it !

That is entirely possible !
Now take that music they play at braves and seminoles games.
I like it especially for football atmosphere.Not really wild about it for Atl though.
I guess everyone has their thing they like.
I do love to see fans into games and not just setting on their hands but as I said this bouncing just ....well maybe it's just me !
well...that was the purpose of this thread...to see how others feel about it.

Doesn't bother me either. But I will say that the wave doesn't me bother unless I'm at the game and someone is trying to get it going. Those people should be cuffed taken directly to GITMO.

The students in the "E-RUPP-tion Zone" do this during UK games. Since they have to stand throughout the game, it probably helps keep the blood circulating in their legs.

It doesn't bother me at all as I watch the game, though I'm not about to do it myself at my seat above them.

jmac- I am with you. First of all, if Duke started it, it can't be good.

Secondly, the thing is annoying. It is. I don't want to see people bouncing up and down, I don't want them to jump out of their seat in unison, I just want to watch a game.

Clap. Whistle. Jeer. Hoot and holler. But for God's sake, people, stop the synchronized cheering.

I feel so much better.
