Spring Training and the Regular Season
Excitement about the early performances of Josh Hamilton and Brandon Phillips leads me to wonder about whether or not any statistical research has been done correlating spring training statistics with the regular season. Conventional wisdom has it, of course, that "spring games have nothing to do with the regular season."
Is this true? Anyone got some info that proves the case either way? Thanks in advance...
