Re: 4/10/2007 Minor League Game Updates

What is Francisco's body like? His 6'2" 185 lbs. body sounds pretty slight. I wonder if he could play 2B?

Re: 4/10/2007 Minor League Game Updates

Why would people think that Rodriguez is the logical starter when last season Rodriguez hit .235 in GCL and Esquer hit .331 in Billings, and Esquer is younger?

You read me wrong. I didn't think he was the logical starter. I just remember him being drafted, while I don't remember Esquer being drafted. Just trying to figure out who Esquer is.

Oops Esquer 9 months older. Esquer was drafted 24th round last year, Rodriguez 20th.

Not that they announced. He made an error in the inning prior, so with the game out of hand already, he probably got to sit the bench.

Re: 4/10/2007 Minor League Game Updates

Francisco! This is feeling like Cueto all over again, except with a power hitting third basemen.

Pretty good start for Gonzalez. I read somewhere in Doug's PBP that Gonzalez was throwing mid 90's. In the BA Handbook last year it said Gonzalez's velocity dropped towards the high 80's - low 90's last year due to chubbiness. Maybe he can actually pull it together this year and start moving up the ladder.

Re: 4/10/2007 Minor League Game Updates

I said on my website that Gonzalez is hoping third times a charm for Dayton. From what I have heard, he is in better shape this year so he has that going for him.

Re: 4/10/2007 Minor League Game Updates

Gonzo always seems to have some "emotional" issue holding him back. If Homer Bailey had Gonzo's workout habits, he wouldn't be..............well Homer Bailey.

Lift off or splat down again?
