Looking for a quick response before bed....he's earned it if you ask me. Start him 2 of 3 vs. the Cubs and I'm happy.

I look for Freel and JR to play so imo the only way that he will play is to give Dunn a rest.

What if the Reds didn't have Junior's and Milton's big contracts.

We could have a much better team. Better #5 and pen better depth (with the $$), and Hamilton playing everyday in RF.

"Narron said he expects to start both Encarnacion and Hamilton on Friday. He could put Hamilton in center and use Freel somewhere in the infield, like second in place of the scuffling Brandon Phillips."

John Fay seems to think Freel may sit since he has struggled against Zambrano.

Agreed...give Phillips, Encarnacion (not Friday) and Dunn 1 day off during the series...Freel plays 3, Griffey 3, Hamilton 3, Dunn 2, Encarnacion 2, Phillips 2, 1B platoon 3, C platoon 3 and Gonzo 2 (I'd give him 1 day off and give Castro a start)...

Your coldest hitters Phillips and EE get 1 day off...you keep running Hamilton out there and your offense doesn't suffer with Freel instead of Castro at 3B and at 2B...Castro over Gonzo isn't a huge downgrade for a day...

Sounds easy, but I'm sure there are matchup factors, etc...
