Donnie Scott on Juan Francisco

Listening to the Dragons pregame and he said that the only thing he is keying on with Juan this season is his strikezone judgement because he knows he can hit. That has been one of the major questions about him since last year is his ability to take a walk, and while his OPS is 1.000 so far this season, he has yet to take a walk in 20 plate appearances. I think its pretty good that he already sees this and wants to really work with him on it.

Also says that Logan Parker is seeing another doctor to try and figure out exactly what it is that is having him sick still.

Re: Donnie Scott on Juan Francisco

MINOR-LEAGUER OF THE WEEK: When field coordinator Tim Naehring watches Juan Francisco play, he thinks of Edwin Encarnacion.

"He's very similar to Eddie at that age," Naehring said. "They've got the same kind of talent and athletic ability. Eddie runs a little better, but I think Juan may develop more power."

Francisco, like Encarnacion a third baseman, is playing at Dayton. He was hitting .375 with a homer and four RBI after five games. Francisco combined to hit .289 with three home runs, 17 doubles and 32 RBI in 54 games for the Gulf Coast Reds and Billings.

Wow great news on Francisco......

Thanks for the updates.

Hope he can keep up the pace, and maybe take a few bases on balls!
