Jason Davis

Jason Davis was DFA'd today: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...rt=MLB&id=3559

Definately a target for Krivsky. I'd cut the cord on Santos and bring in Davis who would be a clear upgrade over him.

pass

a WHIP of 1.59 in 2005 and 1.46 in 2006.

I'll pass.

The Reds need a closer not muddling middle relief.

Re: Jason Davis

AL Pitcher with MLB experience and some success (and presumably no health problems)?

Get him fast.

Davis had some awful luck last season. He actually had great control along with a decent enough ability to miss bats. He has struggled this year, but if he pitches like last season that WHIP will come down fast.

Re: Jason Davis

From looking at his numbers he doesn't seem to strike out that many guys. Don't we already have one of those?

He is only 26 so it wouldn't be a bad move.

I just checked again and he'll be 27 tomorrow. So forget it.

Sign me up for Jason Davis. Eric Wedge never could decide what he wanted him to do.

His arm is live.

Re: Jason Davis

Throws 97-98 mph. He is exactly the kind of pitcher the Reds need to take a chance on.

Will he pan out? Don't know but his upside is light years beyond Weathers, Stanton, Santos, Saarloos ...

Re: Jason Davis

If he indeed throws 97-98 MPH, definetly take a chance on him.

I want to see the Reds stockpile as many flamethrowers out of the bullpen as possible.

Re: Jason Davis

26, healthy and throws hard?

Nahhh we don't need to take a chance on that type of player. We've got Stanton and Weathers under control for a while.

Re: Jason Davis

He throws hard and has given up 1 HR over the last year and a bit.

Why wouldn't you take a chance on him?

What's his control like???

Younger, faster...

Sounds like a BowFlex or Nautilus commercial
