New reason to watch pole vaulting

Meet 18-year-old senior in high school in Connecticut star pole vaulter. . . Allison Stokke (Stow-Key)

By the way, she's one of the best in the country.

Re: New reason to watch pole vaulting

So speaking of pole vaulting - I have a friend whose son is a vaulter. Rather good, actually. Anyway, he was practicing earlier this week and as he released the pole at the top of his vault, the wind caught it and blew it back towards him. He's at 17+ feet and the top of the pole started to impale him around the lower stomach, upper groin area. He and the pole fell as one.

Luckily no vital organs were damaged, but he has a nasty wound.

Re: New reason to watch pole vaulting

I wasn't saying she was hot. She's signed with Cal is one of the best young pole-vaulters in the country. I had no intentions of this being a "hot chick" thread.
