WEHT: Orestes Destrada?

He's not on XM's morning show anymore. Anyone know why?

Doesn't he occasionally work on Baseball Tonight? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

same guy. As of a few weeks ago, he disappeared from the XM morning radio show, they made an announcement (that I missed) and I was wondering what happened to him?

This is all wikipedia has.

Until April 2007 he was also co-host of XM Radio's Baseball This Morning show on MLB Home Plate, XM channel 175, along with Buck Martinez and Mark Patrick.

Orestes killed his mother and was then pursued by the furies.

According to some people over on the XM Board - he quit to spend more time working for Baseball Tonight/ESPN

That's a shame. I actually listen to Baseball This AM and enjoyed his insight. I don't watch ESPN unless a game is on that isn't Red Sox/Yankees.

I hate to hear he's gone. I always liked him.

I'll bet the hours sealed the deal

Re: WEHT: Orestes Destrada?

When he was on his game he was good. Some mornings better than others. He did a nice Tom Brokaw impersonation.

Without him, Mark Patrick tries to be too funny too often.

Does ESPN still show other games?

I've never known a time when Mark Patrick didn't try to be too funny.
He usually fails.

Occasionally.

I think ESPN would be a much better channel if they moved HQ to DC or Chicago or LA just to get them out of that NY-Boston rut.

I never got his act when here was here in Indy. When he did his radio show, he rarely actually talked sports, it was all him trying to be a stand up comic. If I could have thrown a tomato at him through the radio, I would have.
