Another trade thread...
I put this at the end of another thread but those usually don't get nearly the response as new threads do so....
10 team redraft. 7x7 +BB & K on offense I trade: Helton Abreu F. Cordero I receive: Hafner Pierre I'm taking a risk that Hafner will explode in the 2nd half but I think it's a worthy risk. Cordero has to go down, Abreu could recover but who knows, and Helton is good but lacks power. My offense is what has the most room to improve. I am last in HRs and very low in RBI, R, K, and BBs. My new offense: C - Estrada 1B - Hafner 2B - Utley SS - Greene MI - Fontenot (had Bill Hall here) 3B - Atkins OF - Bonds OF - Wells OF - Crawford UTIL - Pierre BN - Pence BN - Lowell BN - Braun I'm going to try to trade Lowell or Braun for a MI and/or closer. Thoughts?

I like it, I just traded for Pronk in my league and he is clearly the key to the deal.
I ripped the guy off though, I shipped out Ryan Howard for Pronk AND Griffey..... COLLLLLD BLOOOOODED |

I don't think Braun is ever going to cool off down to Pierre levels.
Hunter Pence is better than Pierre and shouldn't be on your bench. I don't see how Juan "I lead the league in outs every year" Pierre sees a day of playing time on your very solid squad. I personally think you are giving up too much to get Hafner, but when you have the depth you have, why not put it to good use?

I agree with Dom that Pierre should probably not be in your starting lineup. However, he could help out big time if you ever need a few steals. Other than that, I would play Pence at Util.

I like the team overall, but Khalil Greene is a yucky SS. Any way you can deal some of your 3B depth (Atkins, Braun, Lowell) for a better option?
FWIW, I agree with the other posters on Pierre. Dude is just terrible; you pay a horrible price for padding your steals category.
