Move him to the OF. He has a cannon of an arm.

Frazier is 1-for-3 with a RBI single and Waring is 2-for-2 with a double, homer, and a walk.

It seems like every other minor league update thread I click on Brandon Waring has done something. Not a bad start at all.

He's now OPSing over 1.000. He was my pick to be the steal of this draft and so far he's making me look good.

Devin Mesoraco, Todd Frazier, Nefi Soto, and Brandon Waring. That's a solid collection of bats that Buckley picked up in this years draft. Blake Stouffer, the switch-hitting infielder drafted in the 4th round from Texas A&M also looks like a potential solid hitter, though he remains unsigned at this point. After Jay Bruce and Joey Votto, the Reds system lacks a big bat in the lower minors but that looks like it could change now.

Now, if we can just get Milton Loo back and on the field. I hope to see him in Spring Trainging with the Reds next year.

Nice couple innings for Pauly tonight. Maybe there's something left in the tank?

I thought I read earlier this summer that he has retired from baseball because he did not want to be away from his family in Hawaii.

Maybe doug or someone can confirm this. I don't think Loo is expected back at all because of his family issues.

That's true, but who knows? People can change their minds, but I wouldn't count on it.

I was thinking the same thing. He's off to a very impressive start.

8 errors in 21 games - sounds like another edwin - not that impressive

A move to outfield possibly?

Who knows if he's actually destined to move to the OF, but if he does, the Reds are starting to stack their corner OF's pretty well. Bruce, Francisco, Waring, Frazier and Stouffer could all end up manning corner OF spots before long. Not to mention Votto has been getting some time in LF as well.

Re: 7/11 Minor League updates

I'm pretty sure others have stated the poor condition of Billings' infield, so IMHO, I'm not worrying about a few errors. If it continues when he's in Dayton, then I'd start being slightly concerned.
