Is anybody going to pick up Justin Upton?

Just curious if anyone thought about picking up the 19 year old. I am not even sure how long he will be up in the majors.

only other guy I may wait for in yearly leagues is Joba, but I hate wasting a claim if he won't start..........

the other thing....

If you aren't confident in Upton staying up, with his hype level, I'd use your high waiver on him just to flip him to another team in order to upgrade one of your weaknesses. It's not a bad strategy.

That is a pretty good strategy. It certainly looks like the kid will be a stud and a future fantasy star. Just how soon that happens remains to be seen.

Pat Burrell is a better option, and he's most likely available in most leagues. These youngsters are intriguing, but if you don't play in a keeper league, there are probably better options on your waiver wire. Though, admittedly, not with as much upside or intrigue.

Yeah, what has gotten into Burrell? The guy has been an absolute monster over the last few weeks. (33-69 in his last 23 games)
