Re: 2007 free agent list

Wonder how many would fit the Reds plans?

I fantasize about Torii Hunter roaming center for the Reds. I would have never said that until I went and saw him play at Yankee Stadium. You have to see in person how many balls he gets to to appreciate his defense. That being said the Reds will never spent the money to get him.

Re: 2007 free agent list

I honestly don't see the Reds spending big money on a free agent outfielder. They are more likely to spend it on a starting pitcher.

Mike Cameron and Scott Linebrink sound good. Especially if Griffey gets traded this offseason.

how far of a long shot is Zambrano being brought into Cincy? i know he is probably going to cost a lot of money but i would die to see him pitch for the Reds

The reds would have to go way over his market value, which is already very high. I would say it is more of a no shot.

Re: 2007 free agent list

I'd put Bruce in left to start next season and sign Shannon Stewart as the 4th outfielder. I would also look into signing Rodrigo Lopez or Paul Byrd for the rotation.

1. Harang
2. Arroyo
3. Lopez/Byrd
4. Bailey
5. Belisle/Livingston/Cueto/FA maybe?

Also, where can I find the list of all releivers available?

I know Catellini really wants to win and a splash signing like this would revive the Reds' fanbase. I wouldn't totally rule it out but we'll see.

Re: 2007 free agent list

He didn't exactly have a big signing last off-season. I would be surprised if he did sign Zambrano. It doesn't seem Krivsky want to pay for quality free agents; he wants to shop at the bargain bin.

I think they thought they could contend this year so they didn't see a need to spend alot last offseason, obviously that wasn't the case. Krivsky had to shop at the bargain bin becuase of the little money Bob gave him, I don't think we'll sign Zambrano but I wouldn't be shocked to see a semi big signing or a big trade. This franchise and fanbase needs a huge move to get revived. I think Bob knows that.
