Phillips is a boob... but it is still very cool seeing B.Phil get some much-deserved recognition and props for his spectacular defensive wizardry at 2nd base this season.

IIRC, Rawlings sponsors the award but they do not have any direct say-so in who wins the awards.

Something I saw midseason didn't even have Phillips in the Top 5 defensively at 2B in the NL. It was ridiculous, they even had Freddy Sanchez ahead of him!
