More proof its reputation and not 'scientific'

Re: Gold Glove winners
Not surprised Phillips didn't get it. Phillips was clearly very good, but I haven't exactly seen evidence that he was better than Hudson. For once I don't think they blatantly screwed any of the picks up.
A bit surprised with Polanco over Aaron Hill. Andruw Jones won the Fielding Bible GG for CF, for what it's worth.

Re: Gold Glove winners
I was really hoping Tulowitzki would get it at SS. Not surprised it went to Rollins though.

Re: Gold Glove winners
No Jeter! Jays should have had both AL MIs, IMO.

Re: Gold Glove winners
The old saying is usually you have to be good enough to win a GG for a year or two before you get one.

Re: Gold Glove winners
David Wright? He's good, but a bit erratic. If he's a Gold Glove caliber player, then EE isn't far behind.

Re: Gold Glove winners
Grady Sizemore defines "adequate" in CF. Now he has a Gold Glove.

Re: Gold Glove winners
Adequate is a big step up from the worst in the league one Jeter got.

Re: Gold Glove winners
Lousy choice there, too. How did they miss Granderson? And I'm really sick of I-Rod winning GGs when he doesn't even bother to move to block tough pitches.

Re: Gold Glove winners
Granderson should have walked away with the award, with Coco Crisp finishing a distant, distant second.
