NCAA Men's Basketball thread
Not seeing a thread on this topic I thought I would get one going.
Got to watch on ESPN my alma mater almost beat #1 UNC last night. Unfortunately Davidson fell short in the last few minutes after failing to put UNC away when it had a chances to do so in the 2nd half. Stephan Curry, Dell's son, reminded me of a young Ray Allen. (Not to make this a Boston related thread)

Re: NCAA Men's Basketball thread
When did you go to Davidson? I'm a lifelong Marshall fan and graduated from MU in 2001. We used to have some fun games with you all when we were in the Southern Conference.
I'm also a Xavier alum and was crushed by their loss to Miami the other night. All I can say is that Charlie Coles is one of the best coaches I have had the privilege of watching over the years, He always gets a whole lot out of a minimal amount of talent. |

Now Davidson needs to beat Duke in early December - I will be a HUGE Daividson fan for that game!

Re: NCAA Men's Basketball thread
I honestly thought Davidson was going to win going into that game. They have a very good team. My aunt and cousins live in Davidson about 5 minutes away from the school so I'm pretty familiar with it. They definitely gave OSU a fight in the NCAA tournament when we played them.

Re: NCAA Men's Basketball thread
Got to see the Buckeyes play for the first time. I think they are going to make some noise yet again. They simply dominated Syracuse in MSG. Very impressive game. Jamar Butler is good. Kosta Kofous is a very athletic 7 footer and Othello Hunter is a man inside. Of course, with the youth, you may not even recognize them if you watch them play A&M Friday.

Eric Gordon looks awfully good so far this year. I'm looking forward to when the Hoosiers play someone decent.

Re: NCAA Men's Basketball thread
i'm a fan of Marshall and Xavier, and I can honestly say that this year marshall's going to have a great season (by our standards) and donnie jones certainly will do a much better job than jirsa did. As for Xavier, yes that miami loss was very crushing, but as long as we can bounce back we'll be fine, we just can't blow anymore games like that.

Re: NCAA Men's Basketball thread
You will like Donnie Jones. May take a little time, but there will be a measurable improvment.
