Shaq bums a ride

New Phoenix Sun Shaquille O' Neal was shopping at a mall in Phoenix over the weekend and was approached by a fan requesting a photo. Instead of the yes/no answer the fan was expecting, Shaq put a condition on the request. He said he would let the guy take his photo in exchange for a ride to the hotel where he's living. The fan agreed and Shaq folded himself into the guy's tiny Honda for the trip to the hotel.

There are more details on the story and more photos at the message board where it was posted. Be forewarned that the other board has some rougher language on it than you'll find at RedsZone.

Re: Shaq bums a ride

Shaq is alot like a modern Babe Ruth. He is a great people person, an amazing athlete, and somewhat self-destructive (weight).

Cool little story.

One thing I hadn't noticed was how much ink Shaq has got in the last few years. I sure don't remember him having that many tats a few years ago.

He's got the pizza huts from all 28 NBA cities tattooed on his arms.

Hehe, RFS, that house is now the property of ex Mrs. Shaq, IIRC.

No, I saw the link to this story on an aggregator and this was my first visit to the site. Looks like a cool community, though.

It's amazing how many niche message boards there are for fans of specific vehicles these days. My dad belongs to a board for owners of a specific model, edition and year of sports car. None of my vehicles are interesting enough to merit their own boards.

Re: Shaq bums a ride

I saw Shaq walking outside of International mall in Orlando one day. Just walking out to his car and causing tail lights to come on everywhere.
