Re: NCAA Tourney Day 3

I saw what Buckeye saw. And yes, I've got HD. It happened exactly as Buckeye described it. The player flew past, pulls on his wrist/forearm, then does the "WHO ME??" pose after he lands.

Doing a "who me" pose should be a foul just because

I'm not going to win an argument on a East Coast bias board.

Re: NCAA Tourney Day 3

I went to my first NCAA tournament games in Anaheim today and wow what a couple of games.
I felt really bad for Marquette. They really out played Stanford but just couldn't make that kill shot.

That's how I saw it too. That was a terrible no call.

Yeah it was a bad call but I also saw a ball call that went against UCLA with around two or three minutes left. They all even out unless it's a Duke game.

Re: NCAA Tourney Day 3

The officiating in the UCLA game was pretty bad both ways the entire time.

How many times has UCLA been bailed out by questionable calls to end the game this season?

Honestly I only watched UCLA when they played USC this season so I really don't know. IIRC there was a big fuss about the Stanford/UCLA game and the officiating but I didn't get to see it.

I know that UCLA had a couple bad calls go against them in the game, but that doesn't mean it makes it OK that the refs missed this obvious DOUBLE foul when a teams entire season is on the line. The Texas A&M player could have missed both of those free throws, but you can't not call that foul.

This is clearly not a foul. It is clear that the UCLA players are merelytrying to assist the A+M player in putting his elbow and wrist into the correct shooting position. His elbow had been flailing out all night. The UCLA players were correctly commended for trying to teach him the correct shooting form. Now if only they could hae helped him with that awful body position- he should know better than to be so tilted away from the basket.

The camera angle is playing tricks on you. No foul here.
