Grande was painful tonight

I was bored at work and counted him saying Cowboy thirteen times by the top of the sixth. It's like there's more than two people in the booth or something.

That's a routine post typed well, but it'll stay in the park.

Re: Grande was painful tonight

I couldn't tell if he was a Cardinal's announcer or part of the Reds broadcast team!

It is painful to listen to him on any night.

Re: Grande was painful tonight

He may have been painful, but he had to be better than either of the Cardinal announcers.
One is very monotone and the other is either very unprepared or uninformed.

I would actually put our broadcast team up against any in the majors. I watch on FSOH, and think they all do a very good job.

How many times did he say that Pujols "sets up pitchers"? It didn't make sense the first time but after 5 or so, it got a little old.

Why does GG call coaches named "Jose", "Chay-o"? How do you even spell that? He calls Jose Oquendo and Jose Cruz that whenever he speaks of them.

Does anyone else find that his constant catchphrase "you know his story," is even more grating when he never actually tells anyone's story?

And what "equation" is he always giving us the other part of?

Title should be: Grande is painful every night.

I can't stand hearing coco cordero and cowboy 50 times a game

Ah, but it is the "Redbirds" and GG has serious man love for the Cardinals. At least Edmonds doesn't play for them anymore.

Re: Grande was painful tonight

Personally I like the fact that George isn't a homer. So whether you think it is "man-love" for Edmonds, or maybe George just enjoys talking about a franchise that has actually had sucess in recent history, I don't care. I like to hear the man's opinion on other teams, players, and front offices. Not that I agree with it all the time, but if everyone agreed there wouldn't be a need for a place like redszone.com
