All the former Cubs, Hairston included, started out hot.

Two thirds of them have hit rock bottom. Any bets on when Hairston follows them and starts playing like Jerry Hairston, Jr again?

it's the damn goat. We've reached critical ex-Cubs overload...

Rollins grounds out to 2nd. Runner goes to 3rd. 2 outs.

That makes her a very nice ex-wife.

It's like having three pitchers in the lineup when both Patterson and Bako are in there.

I mean we might as well put Arroyo in center field. Maybe Harang can catch. We'd get them same amount of offensive production.

Re: Reds @ Phillies 6/4/08

The reason the Reds can't seem to get to the .500 mark has little to do with Dusty Baker or lineups, and everything to do with inferior talent around their lineup.

For every Jay Bruce or Adam Dunn, there's at least 1 Corey Patterson or Paul Bako.

Volquez starting to get squeezed. That 1-0 on Victorino looked nice.

I bet Arroyo can cover some ground out there in CF.

It seems like Shane Victorino has a 3-0 count every time I look up.

Throw him strikes, he ain't Babe Ruth up there.

Hairston's drop may be beginning right at the moment.

He's 2 for his last 13 and hasn't looked particularly good these last few nights. If Hairston goes in the toilet in the leadoff slot and Patterson stays in the second slot, the offense will go to hell quickly.

Corey Patterson is completely due to Dusty Baker.

Bako- I don't mind so much. He's better than Javy behind the plate, and makes a fair platoon with Ross.

Utley hit in the foot by that pitch. Bases loaded for Howard.
