Re: Saturday June 14 Minor League Updates

Thompson got a groundout and strikeout to begin the 9th. He got ahead 0-2 on the next batter but then walked him.

Roenicke replaces Thompson.

Thompson: 8.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K...17 GO/3 FO

110 pitches for Thompson tonight. They really stretched him out.

Roenicke just walked a batter

Yonder is now 1 HR shy of the UM single season record. Don't know if that would tie him for the lead or if it would be his exclusively.

Re: Saturday June 14 Minor League Updates

Roenicke had Ruiz 1-2 but Ruiz worked a walk.

0-2 on Santos...strike three swinging! Nice job by Roenicke. Please get him in Cincy.

I really think it's time to cut bait with Weathers and promote Roenicke. I'm not sure Josh is completely ready for the majors, but he certainly will fool more people than Weathers at this juncture.

Terrell Owens' former publicist says: There are $3.5 million reasons why Dave Weathers is still a Red and Josh Roenicke is still a Bat.

Come on! That's not nearly as personally demeaning as what she said!

Very nice work by Thompson.

I wouldn't be shocked if he was the next one we see up if Bailey continues to struggle.

Re: Saturday June 14 Minor League Updates

110 pitches is definitely an audition for the big club, I would expect the FO wanted to see him go that long before he is promoted after the break.
