CC being targeted by Milwaukee
If true, I can't imagine the Cubs topping it.

LaPorta, Escobar, and another prospect would be a huge haul for the Indians.

That sure is giving up a lot for a guy WHO WILL walk at season's end.
The kid's desire is the west coast where his roots be. And of course he also wants that huge Santana-like payday.

Re: CC being targeted by Milwaukee
That would be a good deal for both sides, the Brew crew can live without those prospects and they get CC for a shot at a ring.

Re: CC being targeted by Milwaukee
Milwaukee has been building that farm system for years. It might just be ready to pay off big time if they can pull that trigger.

Better them than the Cubs. They could throw in Bill Hall while they are at it.

Doesn’t Milwaukee have, I want to say several players at AAA and AA that have solid numbers indicating that they could perform well at the MLB level? I don’t mean older career minor leaguers, I mean the real form of top prospects? I thought that I saw a higher number of players with very nice stats, than with most teams. What could Jocketty get for Harang and Cordero ? (No trade clauses can be waived.) http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mlb...x.jsp?c_id=mil |

LOL. Heck yeah! Get Bill Hall outta here. Any way they could swing a three team trade and end up sending Lance Berkman to the Tribe as well? :O)

I heard that. Maybe CC would be interested in the Reds as a FA. He could hit, and if the Reds told him he could have all the Graeters, Skyline, La Rosas and Montgomery Inn he wanted for free, he'd probably sign here in a heartbeat.

Re: CC being targeted by Milwaukee
Look at it this way,
Brewers pull the trigger on a Sabathia deal. Even if he does leave, he and Sheets will both net two draft picks, and with the Brewers track record of developing prospects, that could be dangerous. |

They could likely make a CC deal work with Matt Gamel and Escobar, keep LaPorta, and deal Prince for spects. |

Re: CC being targeted by Milwaukee
I'd take Gamel, Salome, and LaPorta for Harang.
And I'd be shopping Harang to Milwaukee, too, for just that package.
