Re: Hawaiian Winter League and Arizona Fall League

my hope is that Milton Loo plays in the Hawaiian league and that neither Cueto nor Vasquez play winter ball in the Dominican.

Why not? If he's going to start out in Sarasota, then the AFL, or maybe Hawaii since it seems less advanced, would be a good spot to get a look at him. They paid him 500K. The talk is he's quite advanced and they think he can move quickly I'd bet..

I think all of the new younger guys have to go to instructs. They won't
be playing anywhere but in Sarasota. Alonso should there too.

I don't buy for a second that he would start in Sarasota, unless its the GCL.

Re: Hawaiian Winter League and Arizona Fall League

How about sending Frazier and Valiquette to Hawaii?
They are both young, need the experience and are promising players.

Re: Hawaiian Winter League and Arizona Fall League

I think the majority of the players in the AFL will be from AA with the exception of Stubbs. Pitchers maybe Jukich, Manuel, Watson
and maybe Woods after tonights performance.

Henry, Valaika and Turner are headed to the AFL as position players
from Chattanooga.

I'd like to see Cozart and Alonso go to Hawaii.

Re: Hawaiian Winter League and Arizona Fall League

BTW, Ted Power will be the Reds representative in the league, serving as pitching coach for the Peoria Javelinas. Darren Brown from the Mariners will manage and Ozzie Timmons from Tampa Bay will be the coach.
