He has been very, very impressive since signing. I look for him to get a long look next spring but still probably begin the season in Chattanooga with a chance to reach the majors late in the season.

Phipps: 1-for-4 walk
Waring: 1-for-5
Mesoraco: 1-for-4 walk

Montano: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 3 K

Thurman: 3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K...10 BB/42 K in 31.1 IP.

Dayton's magic number has been cut to four and could drop to three if Fort Wayne loses tonight.

So anyone have an update on the position on all the Reds minor league teams in the playoff races? I know the Bats have clinched and play Durham first round. How are the other squads doing?

Billings has also clinched and Dayton has a three game lead (four if Fort Wayne loses) with six games left. Everybody else missed the playoffs.

Ah okay, thanks. Dayton has a really good following for Single A, thats all I know, big attendance there over the years. I'm surprised they're not Double A and Chatanooga relegated to single A

Fort Wayne lost last night so Dayton's magic number to clinch a playoff berth is now just three games. They lead the wild card by 3.5 with just six games to play.
