I still don't know why the pitcher in the 8 hole still irks me, but it does...it's not like LaRussa has Corey Patterson at his disposal....

Hairston sacs him to 2nd. Votto lines out for the 2nd time, this one to Pujols. EE pops out on the first pitch. 1-0 Cards after 4. |

Looper, Izturis, and Schumaker go down in order in the top of the 5th.
BTW, Skip freaking Schumaker is OPSing .879 against RHP this season. Just more evidence of the ridiculous lightning in a bottle so many Cards have caught this year. Still 1-0 Cards with Bruce, Kepp, and Patterson due up. Last edited by Screwball; 09-16-2008 at 08:12 PM. |
