I just took over a keeper team. I have the 3rd pick. These are the Keepers I have. What advice does anyone have? It is a 12 Team League.

3B- Ryan Zimmerman (Was - 3B)
OF- J. Hamilton (Tex- OF)
OF- M. Holliday (Col - OF)
C- V. Martinez (Cle - C)
RP- J. Nathan (Min - RP)
SP-John Lackey (LAA - SP)
SS- M. Young (Tex - SS)

Use Holliday/Hamilton/Morenau as trade bait to try and land you pitching. 1b theres enough guys probably available with the 3rd pick that be about the equiviliant of Morneau and its easier to find 3 compentant productive of than to find good pitching.

Right now Magglio Ordonez is available for outfield and Roy Oswalt are still on board. The First pick in draft was Jason Bay. The Second overall pick is now on clock.

1. Pitching
2. Quality 2nd basemen. If none available get another OF.

And trade VMart

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

The second pick was OF Bobby Abreu. Magglio Ordonez and Roy Oswalt and Dan Uggla are available. Should I pick Oswalt or Joba Chamberlain?

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

Glad you avoided Joba. Maybe a quality OF or Pitching. Best available?

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

Nice Pick with Oswalt.

I'd still see if anyone "really likes" Hamilton and would give you a nice package involving another solid to top end pitching.

I also agree with the poster earlier try and trade Victor and see what you can get if anything of value.

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

I have been offered Magglio Ordonez and pick 6:6 for my picks 2:3 and 4:3? What does anyone think?

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

There are only 2 more picks ahead of mine. I did not take the trade. Should I draft Dan Uggla or Cano at second base or take Volquez or Codero from the Reds? Any advice?

Re: Draft advice needed. I just took over a keeper team.

I wouldnt waste my time with a closer at this point especially the Reds. He's not going to get many opportunities to really be useful. Take the best pitcher available for some balance.
