I've dabbled. I prefer OOTP.

I second OOTP. It is a much better game than Baseball Mogul. Version 10 is coming out sometime this month and I've already got mine pre-ordered.

hmmm...they both sound interesting. I am a stat junky. Can you tell me how these games work? I may have to purchase one of them when my wife isn't looking...

Thanks

Baseball Mogul is ootp super lite. OOTP is much more in depth, uses a dips engine and has a ton, I mean a ton of mods available. Check out the boards over at ootp developments.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010

OOTP is officially set to release the first week of June. The Pre-order save $10 period ends Wednesday, so I highly recommend buying it now. You won't be sorry.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010

I pre-ordered OOTP Version 10 and got an e-mail today saying it was available for download. I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is all about.

So far, I think it is the best the game has ever been at release. Time will tell how great it truly is, but I'm quite happy with the "out of the box" product.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010

Love it so far! Do you guys simulate most of the games or do you over-ride Dusty's authority and manage the games? I took over the 2009 Reds and so far have pushed Dusty aside. Dickerson is killing it out of the gate (7 for 10, HR, 4 RBI's, 2 SB's in 4 games, 2 as a starter)....So much to the program; thanks for turning me onto it!

I just found this thread but I preordered the game just like you did, and I am one year into my dynasty. My Reds won 90 games without and moves but were knocked out in the first round by the Mets. And FWIW C-Dick OPS'd 970 for my team!

I play out all of my games. I won game 1 of the season 7-6 on a walk-off double by Votto, and Dickerson is an absolute stud for me, too.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010

In case anyone is interested OOTP 11 is available to pre-order.

In November I joined an online OOTP league. That makes the game even more fun!
