Re: Friday 5/29/2009 Minor League Updates

OF Chris Heisey led the offensive charge for the Mudcats, going 3-5 with a three-run homer. Heisey homered off the scoreboard in deep left in the first, then followed with singles in the fourth and fifth. Sean Henry set the table from leadoff spot, reaching base three times. Henry was hit by a pitch in the first, singled in the fourth and walked in the eighth. Biscuits starter Aneury Rodriguez (L, 2-7) continued his struggles, allowing 7 earned runs on six hits and three walks over 3.1 IP. Rodriguez becomes the first Southern League pitcher to lose seven games.

I know this might be crazy, but can heisey play LF? Would he be like at worst, a Shannon Stewart in left? Because I'd sure love to see him and stubbs in the same outfield.

I would say so. If not, I'm sure Stubbs could handle LF.

Don't worry he's in Sarasota where power numbers take a beating. Big parks and the air there lend to lower power numbers.
