RFS62!

Yes, folks, it's that time of year when we can all get together in person and complain about Corey Tavares.

But really, it's all about getting together over a few beverages, meet old friends and new ones too. It's also an opportunity to match up a face with a name. It's always a lot of fun and you never know what can happen.

Now this one is rather special since our old friend RFS62 is coming to town. No word yet if he'll be bringing his two friends in this picture along with him but if you ask nicely, he might wear the famed red leg warmers.

But since it will be the end of August, he'll probably just wear shorts.

But, those were taken quite a while ago. Since then, RFS has gained years of experience and wisdom. This is a recent picture of him after seeing another lineup with Corey Tavares' name in the leadoff spot.

It's the 28, 29 and 30th of August when this is going to happen. The Dodgers will be the Reds' opponents and maybe we can taunt Manny. It'd be great if we could get a head count in advance as to who is coming but we're pretty flexible as far as getting tickets goes. Maybe we can get a group rate on the tickets. If you are looking for places to stay, I'm sure our fellow Zoners can help you out with that. Feel free to use this thread for questions and comments. As an added incentive to come to the shindig - not that another one is needed - our own lovely and talented Kitty Duran will be co-host for this event. For those of you who receive magnets and calanders from her, it's an opportunity to thank her in person and buy her a Sprite for her trouble.

I think this goes without saying but this shindig is open to all members of RedsZone, whether you are a Sun Deck or ORG member.

I'm looking forward to seeing the folks who can come in for this event and if you're lucky, RFS may let you push him in his wheelchair.

RFS62 could easily compete for "most interesting man in the world". I heard he once had an awkward moment just to see what it was like.

Chip and I will have a confab to go over the details - but we'll try to keep it simple. IIRC, didn't we count noses and money at the last gathering (2 years ago) then went to the ticket box office and purchased seats?

Also, as a season ticket holder I'm allowed one message to be shown on the video board - I can keep it plain or we can get creative. I'll clean out the PM box and take suggestions - but remember, it's got to be CLEAN!
