With Homer up, Rosales sent to Louisville

From Fay's blog:

Quote:
With the Reds calling up Homer Bailey from Triple-A Louisville to pitch Saturday night, Adam Rosales was optioned to Louisville.

"We tried to play him as much as we could," manager Dusty Baker said. "He just needs to go down and get his confidence back and his stroke back. One thing he did do was he improved defensively, big-time. He's a hard worker, he'll be back."

Thought it'd be a pitcher, but I guess this makes sense. Really like Adam though, hope he gets back.

Rosales really hasn't played well for quite some time, but I can't say there aren't other players on this team just as deserving to go down as him. I figured it would be Rechar or Castillo.

Castillo is on the DL right now, so someone else had to go down.
