Re: Reds deal Jerry Hairston Jr to Yankees
Maybe Miller did the deal. Walt might be on vacation.

Simply diabolical!

Do you really think that is possible? His stats look pretty good.

Re: Reds deal Jerry Hairston Jr to Yankees
Small reminder: Fay I believe it was reported yesterday that there will be no payroll-increasing acquisitions at the deadline. So don't expect any major leaguers to return.
Back to speculation. |

Probably not someone as good as him, but he is the absolute best possible return that I can think of. Odds aren't good its him, but I can hope the Yankees got crazy and had to pull the trigger on something.

Got to pay for that 2 year vacation he has been on.

Re: Reds deal Jerry Hairston Jr to Yankees
I'm expecting a return ala the Jeff Conine deal from a few years back. Nothing exciting but a savings of maybe $650k that will be put toward a pot of money to blow on some worthless player this upcoming offseason.

Does THIS mean we'll see Heisey or Stubbs now?
