Pryor is fast, but how fast?
I have seen Pryor play against Penn State and though he was pretty fluid as a runner. Plus I remember him playing some track in high school. But no way he ran a 4.33 40.

Saw a picture of him on move in day, on Bucknuts. He looks like he has been living in the weight room.

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
that was on the OSU "fast track" that they use for the OSU pro day from what I've read.
It would probably have been 4.4ish - 4.5ish on the combine surface. Still pretty fast for a guy his size.

Pryor is smooth. Kind of like Vince Young. But there's no way he runs a 4.33, and there's no way he's faster than Pat White. I don't buy that for a second.

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
I'll give the kid the benefit of the doubt.
He strides beautifully, and accelerates quickly for his size, so given the long stride and coming up to full speed quickly, a 4.33 is feasible. My question would be the timing mechanism. Did they start the clock when he moved, or did the clock start and then he moved? I've seen 40s timed both ways. Different timing methods could be the difference between 4.33 and 4.4, IMO. |

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
He has deceptive speed because of how big he is, and his long strides. There's no decieving the stopwatch.

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
He ran it on the Ohio State Pro Day fast track. So what if that translates to a 4.45 on the combine surface? It was still the best time on a very talented and speedy Buckeye squad. The bottom line is that he is fudging fast...

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
I have found plenty of articles from when Pryor was being recruited claiming he runs at sub 4.4 times. So now OSU claims that its 4.33 and its impossible?
Here's a few. http://www.sportingnews.com/college-...osus-dominance http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recru...ory?id=3301454

He's not as fast as Baylor's QB.

Fast is fast baby.
Who cares if it's 4.33, 4.39, 4.4, or 4.45? |

Re: Pryor is fast, but how fast?
Any of those puts Pryor in the top 2-3% of all players.
