Re: Todd Frazier will join the Bats Saturday

That's a pretty solid Louisville lineup with Frazier inserted:

Heisey CF
McDonald RF
Bankston 1B
Dorn LF
Frazier 2B
Francisco 3B
Valaika SS
Miller C

Five of those guys could see time in Cincinnati over the next year or two.

Re: Todd Frazier will join the Bats Saturday

Because Dusty hasn't given any prospects a chance to play, right? Oh, hang on. What about:

Joey Votto?
Jay Bruce?
Homer Bailey?
Johnny Cueto?
Edison Volquez?
Ryan Hanigan?
Chris Dickerson?
Drew Stubbs?
Carlos Fisher?
Danny Ray Herrera?
Masset?

C'mon, man. This silly assertion is so tired.

Do a little research before posting.

Re: Todd Frazier will join the Bats Saturday

I was obviously joking considering 2 of those guys are Corky Miller and Wes Bankston

Although I would say he doesn't give a couple of those guys much of a chance.

He is the hardest guy in the system to rank. If he really plays a capable second base in the majors, he's a big time prospect. If he plays LF, he's just "meh". I hope it's the former.

I see him as a Mark DeRosa type, but with even better potential.

I see the Mark Derosa comps but Frazier is going to put up the Derosa 30+ numbers for the majority of his career if he doesnt bust out. imo

Glad to see him moving up and also that he was slotted at 2B. If he holds his own (or more) as expected with the bat and can play a decent 2B, I've got to hope that Dusty eventually considers the Phillips switch. Of course, I've hoped many things that just haven't happened over the last several years with this team.

Won't happen and at this point (if he can play 2nd well enough) I'd rather consider him as possibly the guy that eventually replaces Brandon Phillips.

This, in my view, is the agenda.

Re: Todd Frazier will join the Bats Saturday

I really wish they had just waited on Frazier to see if he could've produced next year at 3B. He's so close to the majors and he CAN play the position. If he hits like he's capable of, he's not that much of a net drop-off from Rolen.

Even if you're going for it next year, Frazier has the potential to help you. If he proves he can't do it right then, then Rolen is still out there.
